Info

Emma Sokoll is a physicist, artist, and researcher based in Berlin. She completed her master’s degree in theoretical physics at TU Berlin, specialising in machine learning applications in quantum mechanical many-body systems, before pursuing a second master’s in Design & Computation.
Her practice engages critically with the structures of science, the entanglements of natureculture and contemporary technologies, and the shifting position of the human agent within them. Often working with hardware electronics, she employs these systems both as a physical manifestation of such relationships and as a means of interface.
She is a member of the interdisciplinary collective Eigensound Lab (founded in 2024), which brings together artists and physicists to explore the intersections of quantum technologies, media, and the arts. Emma also collaborates with artist Friedrich Weber Goizel as TAWA (founded in 2023), a duo exploring interspecies relations and the entangled dynamics of animals, technology and culture.
